Late-1950s Longines Restraint
Vintage Longines reference 8135-5 was produced in 1957–1958, with the refined proportions of a late-1950s dress watch. Its 35 mm stainless-steel round case is paired with a champagne dial, where applied wedge markers meet crisp Arabic numerals at 12 and 6. The hand-wound Longines caliber 12.68ZS brings central seconds to a 17-jewel mid-century movement design, lending technical purpose to the composed exterior. Recorded with its original dial and crown, this is an appealing expression of Longines’ restrained post-war watchmaking language for a contemporary collector.
