Seamaster Automatic, circa 1968
This Omega Seamaster Automatic (ref. 166.037 SP) dates to around 1968 and carries the classic stainless-steel screw‑back case with the Seahorse medallion. The silver sunburst dial with applied batons and a cyclops date at 3 retains a light, period-correct patina under an acrylic crystal. Inside sits the robust Cal. 565 automatic movement with 24 jewels, freshly serviced in 10/2025. For the contemporary collector, the watch offers a balanced 35 mm presence, traditional Omega finishing, and a recently documented service—qualities that make it an attractive, wear-ready example of late‑1960s Seamaster design.
