Omega’s Early Centre-Seconds Design
Antique Omega design from circa 1935 brings together an unusually articulate dial and an important early centre-seconds movement. Its silver dial combines Roman numerals at the cardinal hours with slender baton markers, while blue-toned leaf-shaped hands lend it a clear period character. Beneath the restrained stainless-steel case, Omega’s 15-jewel manual-wind calibre 23.4 SC provides centre seconds; this calibre is recorded as the brand’s first with centre seconds. At 35 mm, the case gives the watch a composed, substantial presence. It offers a compelling view of Omega’s 1930s design and mechanical development.
