Why this watch.

A 1950 Omega

Omega Ref. 2639-1 reflects the design language of 1950, with proportions and details characteristic of its era. Its 35.0 mm proportions, steel case and original dial create a composed, wearable presence without obscuring the watch’s individual period character. Inside, the manual calibre 265, fitted with 15 jewels provides the technical foundation and connects the watch with Omega’s watchmaking tradition. The calf leather strap completes a practical configuration suited to regular wear. For a contemporary collector, it offers a considered combination of period design, mechanical interest and everyday usability.
