Mid-Century Breitling, Refined
Vintage Breitling Automatic design from 1952–1958 reflects a period when the brand paired its instrument heritage with a more elegant wristwatch language. The champagne dial, with applied baton indexes and central seconds, gives the compact 34 mm stainless-steel case a composed, distinctly mid-century presence. Within, the automatic Calibre 4000 with 21 jewels adds meaningful mechanical substance to the restrained exterior. Its slim 10 mm profile and acrylic crystal further underline the balanced proportions. For a contemporary collector, it offers a thoughtful expression of Breitling’s quieter 1950s design vocabulary.
