Why this watch.

Minerva’s Pocket-Chronograph Tradition

An early 1900s antique pocket watch movement powers a pocket watch conversion in a new case for wristwear. The Minerva 19/9 CH belongs to a pocket-chronograph calibre family developed by Robert Frères Villeret, linking it to the brand’s early timekeeping tradition. Its column-wheel chronograph display combines central timing seconds with a 30-minute counter at 12 and small seconds at 6, while a distinctive U-shaped arm operates the oscillating pinion. The transparent back makes this manually wound mechanism part of the experience, giving today’s collector a direct view of historic chronograph construction.
