Early 20th‑Century IWC Pocket Movement Reimagined for the Wrist
This piece pairs a Circa 1907 IWC pocket watch caliber 52 with a substantial 48mm stainless steel wrist case and period‑correct crown, presenting a large, legible dial restored by a specialist. The movement’s three‑quarter plate and frosted gilt finish, marked by the Probus Scafusia stamp, remain visible through the exhibition back and speak to IWC’s turn‑of‑the‑century watchmaking practice. Recently serviced (20-01-2026) and manually wound, the caliber 52 offers straightforward operation and historic engineering. For a collector today it provides a tactile link to early IWC construction within a contemporary, wearable format.
