Kingmatic HS360 — high-beat Brooks Brothers collaboration
A Movado Kingmatic HS360 from 1970, retailer-signed for Brooks Brothers, pairs a restrained silver vertical-brushed dial and applied batons with a period-correct acrylic crystal and gold-electroplated case. Its Cal. 408 automatic movement runs at the high 36,000 vph rate and carries 17 jewels, a technical specification prized for smooth sweep and precise regulation. Recently overhauled (09/2025) and fitted to a new 18 mm leather strap, the watch presents a clear example of 1970s Swiss high-beat engineering in a tasteful, wearable package that appeals to collectors who value technical interest and tasteful vintage design.
