Chronostop Genève — 1969, Cal. 920
Introduced at the end of the 1960s, the Omega Chronostop Genève blends purposeful design with compact watchmaking. This example shows the era’s emphasis on legibility and everyday utility: a sunburst blue dial with applied indices, a date at 3, and a single-pusher timing concept developed for short-duration measurements. Inside sits the manual-wind Omega Cal. 920, a 17-jewel movement produced for the Chronostop line. For a contemporary collector, the watch offers a direct, tactile connection to late‑60s sport-oriented wristwatches and a historically specific mechanical experience in a wearable 35 mm format.
