Early Eterna‑Matic with five-ball rotor
This early-1950s Eterna‑Matic pairs a compact, two-tone fancy-lug case with a quietly elegant silver dial finished with applied gilt numerals and the brand’s five-ball logo. The design reads clearly of early post-war production: slim proportions (31 mm), a dotted minute track and refined applied furniture. Under the caseback beats caliber 1248T, an early Eterna automatic using the company’s ball-bearing rotor and Incabloc shock protection, running at ~18,000 vph. Recently serviced and fitted to a new black leather strap, it offers a historically interesting automatic that wears comfortably for today’s collector.
