IWC Caliber 73 Chronometre, circa 1924
This conversion presents an early-1920s IWC Chronometre movement reinterpreted for wrist wear, retaining the pocket-watch scale in a modern 43mm stainless steel case with exhibition back. The sector-style dial has been sympathetically restored by a specialist to preserve period appearance, while the finger-bridge architecture of the Caliber 73 remains clearly visible through the display caseback. Manually wound and finished in the style of early IWC chronometers, the movement speaks to the brand’s technical tradition. For a contemporary collector it offers a tactile connection to early wristwatch engineering and classical finishing in a wearable format.
