A Mid-1970s Tank with Graphic Presence
Vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre design takes a distinctly mid-1970s form in the Vogue Tank ref. 9120. Its compact rectangular steel case is shaped by stepped, ridged edges, while the textured gold-tone dial provides a warm, graphic counterpoint. The manual-wind calibre 818 brings a traditional mechanical rhythm to this otherwise sharply styled dress watch. Rather than relying on ornament alone, the design balances proportion, surface, and contrast with restraint. For today’s collector, it offers an engaging expression of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s elegant rectangular-watch language from the period.
