1970s Cushion-Case Seiko Diver
This is a 1970s Seiko cushion-case diver, the reference 6105-8110 often referred to as the “Willard.” The design reads as purposeful: a rounded cushion case of ~43 mm, a locking crown at 4 o’clock, bold diver markers and a rotating bezel, fitted on a tropic-style rubber strap with a period-correct mineral Hardlex crystal. Power comes from Seiko’s in-house Cal. 6105B—an automatic, date-equipped, hacking movement with 17 jewels and a ~21,600 vph beat rate—freshly serviced on 27.09.2025 with a service certificate included. For today’s wearer it offers authentic vintage diver character and a recently overhauled movement, though vintage water resistance is not guaranteed.
