Omega 8-Day “Riesen-Lépine” — 1906
A striking example of early 20th-century watchmaking, the Omega 8-Day “Riesen-Lépine” dates to 1906 and was designed to house a substantially larger mainspring for extended autonomy. Its open-face construction and bold white enamel dial with Roman numerals and a small seconds sub-dial emphasize legibility and mechanical purpose. The manual-wind, eight-day power train reflects a period when makers explored long-duration movements for travel and precision timekeeping. Today such a piece speaks to collectors interested in historic engineering solutions and the practical elegance of pre‑war horology.
