Mid-century Omega Automatic Bumper (c.1950)
This Omega Automatic Bumper from around 1950 pairs restrained mid-century proportions with a finely finished stainless-steel case and a professionally restored dial. The 33 mm case and 18 mm leather strap preserve the era’s elegant wrist presence, while the acrylic crystal and signed crown retain period character. Inside, the Omega 351 bumper automatic—17 jewels, 19,800 A/h—demonstrates the tactile engineering of early self-winding movements. For today’s collector, it offers a direct mechanical connection to post-war watchmaking and an authentic example of Omega’s technical development during the early automatic era.
