Our photograph-based valuation and historical information service is for vintage watch owners, collectors, sellers and prospective buyers. Whether you have inherited a watch, rediscovered a family piece or found an online listing you are considering, we help you understand its visible characteristics, likely history and estimated market range.
For a watch you already own, the report brings together identification, an estimated production period, visible condition observations and market context. For a potential purchase, it provides an independent assessment of the supplied photographs and the asking price before you commit.
We research vintage watches from brands such as Omega, Longines, Zenith, IWC, Tissot, Eberhard, Certina, Movado, Universal Genève, Wyler and Oris, as well as other brands where the available material supports a useful assessment.
Choose your valuation option
Option 1 – External Case Evaluation
Photos needed: exterior only (dial, case, crown, closed caseback).
This option provides a short, basic informational report based solely on the outside of your watch. You receive general historical context, visible technical notes and a broad market-range estimate. Because the movement and inside caseback are not shown, identification and condition observations are limited to visible exterior details. This option cannot provide the depth of the Full Photo Report.
Option 2 – Full Photo Report — €89
Photos needed: exterior + movement + inside caseback.
A detailed illustrated PDF report based on exterior, movement and inside-caseback photographs, suitable for an owned watch or a pre-purchase assessment.
It covers estimated production period, movement identification, caseback references and markings, the historical consistency of visible components, condition observations and an estimated market range.
Where the photographs allow, we distinguish natural patina, wear and moisture damage from possible local dial retouch, redial, polishing or refinishing. Uncertain observations remain identified as such.
Using the report before a purchase
You do not need to own the watch. You may submit photographs supplied by the seller, a listing link (for example, Chrono24) and the asking price. The Full Photo Report requires clear movement and inside-caseback views alongside exterior photographs. A listing link alone may not contain sufficient material.
If internal photographs are unavailable, contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether the available images support a useful assessment and which option is appropriate. Photograph-based observations cannot establish hidden mechanical condition or guarantee a purchase outcome.
What you receive and when
Your report is delivered by email as a PDF. The Full Photo Report includes illustrations supporting the analysis; the External Case Evaluation is a shorter report with a more limited scope.
Standard processing is approximately 2–4 business days after receipt of complete photographs and information. If you are considering a purchase, allow time for the report before committing to a purchase deadline.
The estimated market range is an informed opinion based on the available material and comparable market evidence. It is not a guaranteed selling price, binding appraisal or insurance valuation. Conclusions may change after physical inspection or further documentation.
