Rectangular Mechanics, Measured Design
As an Antique Omega Tank, this watch brings the focused geometry of early rectangular design into a compact steel form. Its stainless-steel case houses Omega’s hand-wound R17.8, a slim rectangular calibre whose architecture suited the proportions of this design. The refurbished grey dial uses Roman numerals, while blue-toned hands and framed subsidiary seconds give the face a measured visual rhythm. The R17.8 also belongs to a movement family later represented by Omega’s 300-series calibres. For today’s collector, it offers a concise expression of period dress-watch design and purpose-built mechanics.
