This unique timepiece showcases a wristwatch conversion built around an original IWC pocket watch movement. The substantial 48mm steel case and contemporary lugs create a "jumbo" wrist presence, significantly diverging from the movement's original pocket watch format. The dial configuration, featuring the subsidiary seconds positioned at roughly 9 o'clock, indicates the movement's rotation to accommodate a wristwatch crown position. The dial itself is professionally restored by a dial specialist using period-correct techniques, boasting stylized Arabic numerals and an inset seconds register for a clean and highly legible appearance.

Through the display back, one can admire the classic IWC pocket watch architecture, characterized by a large three-quarter plate, frosted gilt-toned finish, and the Probus Scafusia stamp, a hallmark of IWC's early 20th-century identity and quality. The Caliber 52 movement, an open-face design, relates closely to the Caliber 53 hunter configuration, with jewel counts varying by grade.
