Why this watch.

Omega 18 SPB in a New Wristwatch Case

This antique Omega pocket watch movement powers a pocket watch conversion in a new case for wristwear. The 15-jewel, hand-wound 18 SPB is a large 18-ligne Omega movement, introduced in 1898 and measuring 40.6 mm across. Its white dial brings together Roman numerals, blue-toned hands and subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, while the transparent back keeps the movement in view. The substantial 47 mm stainless-steel case gives this early Omega calibre a purposeful contemporary presence for collectors drawn to historic mechanics and classical dial design.
