This is an early 1970s Omega Geneve day-date with the angular, flat-sided case language used in the International Collection. The 35 mm case, framed calendar aperture, and restrained brushed dial are all characteristic of Omega's streamlined design direction at the start of the decade. The watch combines a 20 micron gold-plated upper case with a stainless steel back, matching the inside caseback stamp. That construction is period correct for the Geneve line and gives this example the warm two-tone appearance seen in the photos. Caliber 1022 is the 23 jewel day-date member of Omega's 1000 family. It adds hacking seconds, quickset date, and quickset day by moving the hands backwards, all within Omega's later in-house automatic architecture. The dial appears consistent with the original specification provided, with vertical silver brushing, applied gold-tone batons with dark tops, pointed hands with dark inserts, and a black center seconds hand. The Italian day display is a nice market-specific detail and is visible as SAB in the aperture. Recorded service date is 02.03.2026.
