Reference 2446-2 is an early Seamaster-era Omega bumper with center seconds. The caseback photo shows a steel Staybrite case, and the 2446 case family appears across late 1940s and early 1950s Omega bumper production in both steel and precious-metal executions. The supplied movement photo shows a signed Omega Watch Co Swiss movement marked Seventeen 17 Jewels. Caliber 351 belongs to Omega's first-generation bumper automatic family and was introduced in 1949. The supplied book page attributes the 330 to 355 automatic family to Charles Perregaux under Henri Gerber, with design work dated to 1942 and production of the broader family running from 1943 to 1955. Mechanically, the watch sits in the important transition between Omega's earliest self-winding wristwatches and the later full-rotor automatics. The bumper winding system is one of the defining technical signatures of early 1950s Omega watches. This example presents as a restrained early Seamaster with a dark silver restored dial, applied Omega symbol, printed Omega Automatic text, cursive Seamaster script, faceted baton markers, dauphine hands with luminous inserts, and a slender center seconds hand. The round steel case, thin bezel, and curved lugs give it a larger visual footprint than many period dress watches. The dial was professionally restored by a dial specialist using period-correct techniques.. Service date recorded for this watch is 27.02.2026.
