Dating to circa 1915, based on the movement serial number, this exceptional Omega belongs to the formative period of the men’s wristwatch, when early wristlets and officer’s watches were still closely related to traditional pocket-watch construction. With its substantial 41.5 mm case, fixed wire lugs and classic hand-wound movement, it has a commanding presence rarely encountered in wristwatches of this age.
Inside is the Omega 13''' S.O.B. manual-wind movement, measuring approximately 32.4 mm across the full movement plate. The movement and case carry period Omega markings and individual serial numbers. The watch has been inspected and maintained through 2026 and remains in excellent working order. 5 mm without the crown. This was an exceptionally substantial size for an early wristwatch and gives the piece proportions that remain highly wearable today.
The watch is fitted with a newly made black leather strap, individually handcrafted in a historically appropriate style. Although the strap is a modern replacement, it was selected to reproduce the simple leather fittings used on early wristwatches and complements the watch exceptionally well.
More than simply a vintage Omega, this watch is a surviving witness to the period in which the wristwatch was becoming a practical and permanent part of men’s horology. It offers the opportunity to own and wear a genuine piece of Omega history dating back more than 110 years.

The gold case is flawless, the case back is perfect, and the dial has only 1 small imperfection (pictured in listing, expected). For a watch from 1982, this is amazing. The Caliber 1110 movement is working very smoothly. The quick-set date is great, and the power reserve is too.
