Vintage Longines Ultra-Chron models capture the precision-minded spirit of the late 1960s with unusual restraint. This circa 1969 example is housed in a 33 mm 14 ct yellow-gold case, giving the technical Ultra-Chron idea a notably elegant expression. Beneath its original dial, automatic calibre 431 runs at 36,000 vibrations per hour while providing central seconds and a date display. Introduced in 1967, the Ultra-Chron line united advanced rate with measured design—a compelling balance for collectors drawn to sophisticated, wearable Longines of the period.
