Early Automatic Omega Character
Vintage Omega automatic design is expressed here through the 17-jewel calibre 351, whose early bumper-style winding system drives central seconds. Dating to circa 1947, this reference balances that mechanical interest with a measured 35 mm stainless-steel case and a 42 mm lug-to-lug span. The dial gives the watch its particular period character: applied Arabic numerals at the cardinal hours alternate with warm gold-tone teardrop indices. For the contemporary collector, it offers a focused view of Omega’s early automatic watchmaking in an elegant, wearable mid-century format.
