Este exquisito reloj de pulsera Longines, estimado en torno a 1949, es un ejemplo particularmente expresivo del diseño Art Deco tardío creado para el mercado estadounidense.
Su caja rectangular chapada en oro de 10K presenta una construcción distintiva descrita por los coleccionistas como “Piping Case” (pasówka). Las asas tubulares esculturales rodean la correa y complementan el perfil escalonado y arquitectónico de la caja, proporcionando una presencia en la muñeca mucho más fuerte de lo que sus dimensiones compactas podrían sugerir. El interior de la tapa está marcado con “Cased and Timed in USA by Longines,” confirmando que el reloj fue preparado específicamente para la distribución estadounidense.
Una de sus características más notables es el inusualmente grueso y alto cristal acrílico rectangular. Fuertemente arqueado a lo largo de su ancho y terminado con bordes facetados, el cristal se eleva prominentemente sobre la caja, creando atractivas distorsiones ópticas cuando se ve desde un ángulo y reforzando el carácter escultural del diseño.
