The Landeron 51 in this piece descends from 1937’s Landeron 47—the first industrial cam-switched chronograph movement that helped spark the post-war “Chronographe Suisse” boom. Available in our shop. Typical Chronographe Suisse hallmarks and Landeron 51 architecture place this example in the 1950s; consistent with mid-century oversized gold cases and twin-cover construction.

Movement: Manual wind, Cal. Landeron 51, 17 jewels, ~18,000 vph; serviced 10/2025 (certificate).

Dial: Original; applied gold numerals/markers, blue tachymeter, red telemeter; blued chrono seconds.

Crystal: Acrylic (period-correct) domed.

Case: 18K (0.750) rose gold; snap back with inner metal dust cover; hallmarked.

Crown: Signed; crisp winding and chrono action.
